Ask God for Wisdom
“But where shall wisdom be found? And where is the place of understanding? Man knoweth not the price thereof; Neither is it found in the land of the living. God understandeth the way thereof, And he knoweth the place thereof. For he looketh to the ends of the earth, And seeth under the whole heaven; Then did he see it, and declare it; He prepared it, yea, and searched it out. And unto man he said, Behold, the fear of the Lord, that is wisdom; And to depart from evil is understanding.” Job 28:12-13, 23-24, 27-28 KJV https://bible.com/bible/1/job.28.12-28.kjv

The Bible tells us that wisdom is the principal thing and in all our getting, we should get understanding. If it is so critical, then the logical question is how does one get the wisdom. The psalmist in today’s Bible reading had a similar question. He identified so many logical places but still comes up short. Then the Lord of host responds and provides the key. The Lord confirms that the true secret of wisdom is in the fear of God and departing from evil is understanding. We are told that the wisdom of men is like foolishness before God and that he uses the foolish things of this world to confound the ‘wise’. This clearly corroborates the psalmist search across the world without success. If you must be wise and be led effectively in a world so diverse and dynamic then the answer lies with the author and finisher of our faith, the beginning and the end, the all-knowing and all-sufficient God. Choose wisely.
