Avoid distractions

“that there came certain from Shechem, from Shiloh, and from Samaria, even fourscore men, having their beards shaven, and their clothes rent, and having cut themselves, with offerings and incense in their hand, to bring them to the house of the LORD. And Ishmael the son of Nethaniah went forth from Mizpah to meet them, weeping all along as he went: and it came to pass, as he met them, he said unto them, Come to Gedaliah the son of Ahikam.” Jeremiah 41:5-6 KJV https://bible.com/bible/1/jer.41.5-6.kjv

Avoid distractions

Beware of distractions on your kingdom journey and assignments. The story is told in the Bible of a young prophet who was to deliver an instruction to King Jeroboam and who was to return immediately and not stop to eat or drink in the land of Bethel. However, while he rested, he was persuaded by an older prophet with a supposed counter instruction. He yielded and went to eat in the house of the prophet and there came the pronouncement of his death.  In the Bible reading today, we see the instance of some men who were on a mission to go to the temple of God to worship but were distracted by the perpetrator of evil to instead go to see the governor of the remnant of the land of Israel. What they did not realize was that they were walking into a trap that resulted in almost all of them dying. So, are you on a kingdom mission, ensure that your frequency remains tuned in to the owner of the assignment.  So that you are not distracted on the journey of purpose by the various wiles of the enemy seeking to lead into destruction.

Prayer: Dear Lord, thank you because your word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path. Please help me Lord to abide in your word so that I can discern by the help of the Holy Spirit any distractions in my path to fulfilling your divine purpose in Jesus name 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾.
