The Psalmist has so much appreciation for the majesty and capacity of our God and so it’s no wonder that he was asking the question of ‘Who is man that you (God) are mindful of him?’. In the chapter of the Bible reading today, the psalmist paints a vivid picture of how God in his mastery strings the universe together and controls it in a rhythm that sustains life. The foundations of the earth and all the coverings thereof are created by God and yet this busy God is mindful of our going out and coming in as humans. What an immense privilege it is. Yet, so many people take the presence and attention of God for granted. This is the very reason why the proverb says that “one who knows how to think deep will know how to thank”.  Take a moment to reflect on how God has strung the path of your life together in such a way that seemingly random or unrelated events have turned out to be part of God’s master plan to give you a hope and a future and then you will indeed like the Psalmist ask “Who am I lord that you are mindful of me?”.

Prayer: Dear Lord, thank you because you are the mighty and majestic God. Thank you for loving me and always creating a path back to your will. Thank you for caring for me and guiding my life. Please Lord, help me to cultivate a heart of worship and to always be at the center of your will so that the benefits of a life guided by you will be evident in my life always 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾.
