“Then said the prophet Jeremiah unto Hananiah the prophet, Hear now, Hananiah; The LORD hath not sent thee; but thou makest this people to trust in a lie. Therefore thus saith the LORD; Behold, I will cast thee from off the face of the earth: this year thou shalt die, because thou hast taught rebellion against the LORD.” Jeremiah 28:15-16 KJV https://bible.com/bible/1/jer.28.15-16.kjv

Be accurate

God is very jealous over his people and is always creating ways to draw them back to him. That is why he is usually very angry at anyone who delivers messages to the people contrary to God’s instruction in such a way that the people continue in a life of complacency and sin. The Bible referred to a king Jeroboam son of Nebat whose sin became an anchor point for the assessment of kings for decades after.  His main sin was that he established distractions for the 10 tribes of Israel after the division of Isreal. He did not want them to go to Jerusalem in Judah to worship God so he created alternatives and God held on to this record of sin and kept referring to it. In the Bible reading today, God sent Jeremiah to another prophet with a message of punishment because he had said to the people in the name of the Lord something that was different from God’s prevailing message.  As children of God, we must be careful not to lead people astray from the kingdom either with our acts, with incorrect messaging of God’s word and every other institution that keep people in a state of blissful ignorance of Sin. Seek counsel from the Holy Spirit always.

Prayer: Dear Lord, thank you for your faithfulness and loving kindness. Father I repent of any careless talk in the past that may have led people astray. Please help me and let the Holy Spirit in me guide me always in the things to do and say for your glory in Jesus name 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾.
