The presence of God with a believer trumps everything. When you have the assurance of God’s presence and you continue to listen to his bidding, it does not matter what lies ahead. He will surely see you through. In today’s Bible reading, Jacob was leaving his father’s house on a mission to go get a wife but he was also fleeing the wrath of his brother. He was heading out into the unknown but he had ‘the blessing’ with him.  As a result of the blessing that he carried, God revealed himself to him and reemphasized the generational blessing of Abraham that he now carried and then sealed it with the assurance that he (God) would be with him  and bless him and ultimately bring him back to the land where he was and that he will possess the land. We know that the journey ahead was to take years but the blessing of God never departed from him. Even when Laban tried to shortchange him he was blessed.  So question for you today is: Do you have the blessing and assurance of the presence of God? If not, abide in his presence until you receive it. Recall that after the spirit of God descended on the disciples on the day of Pentecost, they were changed people and received boldness to take on uncharted territory. Abide.

Prayer: Dear Lord, thank you for your presence that is available to your children. Please Lord help us to know that you are near. Give us an assurance of your presence and take the lead as we go through life and uncharted waters in Jesus name 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾. ‎
