Be Focused
”And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand: and the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it.“ Matthew 7:26-27 KJV https://bible.com/bible/1/mat.7.26-27.kjv

Be intentional about your foundations. Foundations are very critical because they are the hardest to remedy once the building is up, that is if possible at all. The Bible tells us that if the foundation be destroyed, what can the righteous do? In the Bible reading today, Jesus paints the analogy of the one who does not do the sayings of Christ on foundational Christian principles such as the strait and narrow way, as someone who has built their house on a shaky foundation. It does not matter how much more is spent on the rest of the house, it cannot stand the rest of time. Beyond your foundation of faith in Christ Jesus, as you start new endeavors, relationships, seasons and others, are you intentional about the foundations? Putting in the work at the beginning secures everything else after. Don’t be distracted in the beginnings, seek to do the disciplined, albeit painful work of setting the foundations right in the Lord. The benefits are immense. Choose wisely.
Prayer: Dear Lord, thank you because you are the author and finisher of our faith, the foundation of our Christian living and the hope of eternity. Lord, I plead that by your mercy, please visit every faulty foundations in my life and craft and restore it in Jesus name. Please teach me Lord to identify and invest in the foundations of the opportunities that you bring my way in Jesus name 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾.
