Don’t be a victim of pride. The only thing standing between us and our breakthrough sometimes is pride - the failure to acknowledge the higher power of God that is able to deliver us from the challenges. In the Bible reading today, God told Solomon after the commissioning of the temple that when faced with dryness and pestilence, if the people of God humbled themselves and prayed and followed through on the process of repentance, that he would heal the land. It is instructional that he starts with humility as the first step. It sounds counter intuitive that someone who is going through such issues will be proud. It is infact double jeopardy but that is what goes on in so many situations.  Jesus tells us that he stands at the door and knocks. If and only if we acknowledge him and open up, he will come in and sup with us. Examine yourself today, you could be the one standing between you and your breakthrough. Humble yourself today and turn to the manufacturer, seek his face, repent from all evil doings and he will help you.

Prayer: Dear Lord, thank you because you are plenteous in mercies and patience. Dear God, I lay down all my accolades and worldly wisdom at your feet. Please help me to navigate life’s journies and deliver me from the challenges on the path in Jesus name 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾.
