Be careful… In the things of the kingdom or in the specific assignments that God has committed into your hands in life’s marketplace, don’t assume that getting a physical manifestation of an answer means that you have passed heaven’s assessment. There are a number of reasons why you may have received an answer. One of which is God showing up regardless for his name’s sake. Such was the case of Moses and Israel at the water’s of Meribah.  The Israelites had sufficiently provoked Moses, this time in their quest for water. Moses and Aaron had done the right thing which was to seek God’s face and he came through for them with an answer. However, Moses did not execute the instructions to the letter and so while God honored his name in the life of Moses and Aaron because clearly the people saw that go enquire and then return, however both Aaron and Moses received a verdict that they would not be leading the people into the promised land. Why? Because they did not honor God in front of the people.  Be careful about judging the success of an assignment by the answers that you get. Instead focus on his pleasure as that is the ultimate assessment of his endorsement. If in doubt think about the words of Jesus about many people that would say to God on the judgement day that they worked wonders in his name and for whom the verdict will be “depart from me you workers of iniquities”. Focus on pleasing God first by complete obedience.
