Be ye Holy
“Thou shalt sanctify him therefore; for he offereth the bread of thy God: he shall be holy unto thee: for I the LORD, which sanctify you, am holy.” Leviticus 21:8 KJV https://bible.com/bible/1/lev.21.8.kjv

God is holy and he expects holiness from his own especially those who are his representatives and those who offer services and sacrifices unto him. In today’s Bible reading, God was instructing Moses on his expectations of Aaron and his sons who were serving in the offices of Priests. The closer you get to God and his service, the higher the sensitivity for holiness. Aaron’s sons died for offering strange fire upon the altar of God. A closer relationship with God comes with significant benefits but also with responsibilities. ‘Be ye Holy even as I am holy’ is God’s expectations of his own. Are you keeping with the terms?
Prayer: Dear Lord, thank you for your faithfulness always. Thank you for all that you have done for us and continue to do. Please Lord, teach us your ways in our day to day lives so that we can walk in them for your pleasure and to the glory of your name 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾.
