There is a blessing for being different. That the world around is decadent and perverse is no excuse for us as children of God to blend in. Being different results in salvation and preservation in the face of destruction. In the Bible reading today, despite God’s plan to destroy the land, he said for the sake of his servants he will not destroy them all. He promised to bring out a seed out of Jacob and the elect will inherit the mountains.  This is reminiscent of a conversation that Abraham had with God when he wanted to destroy Sodom and Gomorrah. For the sake of 10 righteous people, he was willing to spare the land but he did not find that much. However, he was merciful enough to spare the righteous. This is why God says that he is looking for those who will stand in the gap on behalf of the land. Will you be a bridge to rescue your land or if all else fails will God look upon you and rescue you for his namesake?  Choose wisely, being in the multitude is not an excuse not to stand out. Examine your heart today. 

Prayer: Dear Lord, thank you because you are indeed a righteous and just God. I come before you afresh asking for mercy upon me, my family and the land. Please Lord, purge us, and make us acceptable unto you and let your mercy prevail over every judgement upon the land in the name of Jesus 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾. ‎
