An intimate relationship with the creator of heaven and earth leads to flourishing. In the Bible reading today, God was promising his people Isreal of a betrothal after many years of waywardness and that as a result of this renewed relationship, there was to be an alignment between the heavens and the earth to enable the increase of their fruits.  This clearly should be an incentive for a closer walk with God. However, it is important that we recall that the Bible tells us that the foundation of the Lord stands sure having the seal that the Lord knows those that are his. God has standards for fellowship as seen in our Bible reading. God’s standard is righteousness which opens up his many benefits including mercies and faithfulness. Do you meet his standards?
