Called unto Separation
“Now in the twenty and fourth day of this month the children of Israel were assembled with fasting, and with sackclothes, and earth upon them. And the seed of Israel separated themselves from all strangers, and stood and confessed their sins, and the iniquities of their fathers.” Nehemiah 9:1-2 KJV https://bible.com/bible/1/neh.9.1-2.kjv

There is always a call from heaven for a separation from distraction and sin before consecration. The Bible tells us to come out from amongst them and not to touch any unclean thing and God will receive us. In the Bible reading today, after the remnants of Judah and some Israel had heard the word of God, they decided to separate themselves from strangers in an attempt to focus, repent and consecrate themselves. Often, the reasons why some Christians are fast derailing from God’s instructions and purpose are because of the distractions of unbelievers in their circle who are sometimes distorting their heavenly focus with seeming ‘rational analysis’ of what appears to make alternate sense. So, if we must focus and reconnect with the author and finisher of our faith, the one who has called us and continues to call us from darkness into light then we must separate from the ‘strangers’. The Bible reminds us that in the presence of God is fullness of joy and pleasures for evermore. Trade in your distractions today for a renewed focus on heaven and watch God come through for you in uncommon ways.
Prayer: Dear Lord, thank you for your faithfulness always and the constant call for fellowship with you. Lord as I look to you, please help me to take the step of faith away from my distractions into a life of focus and consecration to you and let the pleasures that come from your presence permeate my being and all my endeavors in Jesus name 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾.
