The Bible tells us in the book of first Peter that the person that loves life must hate evil and do good because the eyes of the Lord are over the righteous. This is why the Bible tells the righteous that no evil shall befall them nor any harm come near their dwelling because the one who watches over them does not sleep or slumber. O what a privilege.  In the Bible reading today, despite all the evil that was being pronounced on Isreal for their misdeeds, an outlet was offered to them. It was an advice to do good and not evil and to establish justice in the gates. The hope was that this would allow God to have mercy on the remnants of Israel. So, do you want to be assured of divine preservation in the midst of judgement in the land? Then switch sides to the lane of righteousness. 

Prayer: Dear Lord, thank you for your faithfulness always. Thank you for your constant reminders of the avenues that you have provided for us. As I seek to do your will today, please let your eyes be upon me for preservation and favor in Jesus name 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾.
