When God grants victory for his glory using the foolish things to confound the wise, there are often others who would have an opinion. Some would even be upset that they were not invited into the fight. Whereas, we know that God really works in ways to make sure that all glory returns to him. In today’s Bible reading, following the victory that God granted to Gideon, he had invited the men of the tribe of Ephraim to join in the final victory lap.  However, they were upset with Gideon for not inviting them at the actual start of the battle. The fact though is that with or without them, God granted Gideon the victory. The beauty of the wisdom that God gave to Gideon is that rather than make them feel worthless, he gave them a soft answer that still restored their ego. This is why the Bible tells us that a soft answer turns away wrath. So, are you faced with backlash from the journey of victory that God has put you on?  Rather than focusing on proving a point, trust God for wisdom to navigate that phase so that you are not distracted from the final fulfillment of the victory, as was the case of Gideon. He still had to finish off the victory with the kings of Midian. If he distracted himself with squabbles with his own brethren then he would have missed out on the full assignment. Stay focused as you journey into your rest.

Prayer: Dear Lord, thank you because you are the Almighty Father who rules in the affairs of men and uses the foolish ones to confound the wise. Please Lord grant me the boldness to follow your instructions to the letter and grant me the wisdom to navigate the distractions on the journey to my rest in Jesus name 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾. ‎
