Come boldly to the throne of grace
“Wherefore I say unto thee, Her sins, which are many, are forgiven; for she loved much: but to whom little is forgiven, the same loveth little. And he said unto her, Thy sins are forgiven. And they that sat at meat with him began to say within themselves, Who is this that forgiveth sins also? And he said to the woman, Thy faith hath saved thee; go in peace.” Luke 7:47-50 KJV https://bible.com/

The Bible tells us to come boldly before the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need. There is a unique emphasis about the fact that we are asked to come boldly because there is a tendency to shy away from the throne of grace when we feel unworthy. It is a lie that the devil continues to sell so that those who truly need to come to receive mercy and grace and staying away are continuing to cower in fear and self-limiting beliefs. This is why the Bible also tells us to come to reason together with God, recognizing that even though our sins may be as red as scarlet that we will be purged when we come into the cleansing presence of God. In today’s Bible reading, a woman who was condemned as a sinner, looked down on by the ‘righteous’ religious leaders, came to Jesus in complete reverence and surrender. She knew that she was really not worthy but she came regardless. She came worshipping, doing the lowly things that the entitled righteous people did not do for Jesus. The verdict was that her faith had saved her. So, do you have faith in the redemptive power of Jesus? Or are you cowering away in the shame of not doing his will, dropping the ball on his assignment or outright disobedience to his instructions? Come to him in complete repentance without gain-saying and let him transform you through his redemptive power. Have faith.
Prayer: Dear Lord, thank you for your faithfulness always. Thank you because you reign and rule in righteousness. Thank you because you are a loving father. I come before you in total surrender. Please receive me fully into your loving embrace and let my life be worthy of your love in Jesus name 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾.
