Come up higher

“And he said unto Moses, Come up unto the Lord, thou, and Aaron, Nadab, and Abihu, and seventy of the elders of Israel; and worship ye afar off. And Moses alone shall come near the Lord: but they shall not come nigh; neither shall the people go up with him. And the Lord said unto Moses, Come up to me into the mount, and be there: and I will give thee tables of stone, and a law, and commandments which I have written; that thou mayest teach them.” Exodus 24:1-2, 12 KJV https://bible.com/bible/1/exo.24.1-12.kjv

Come up higher

Many are called but few are chosen. The Bible discusses the criteria for being called up higher - “Who shall ascend into the hill of the Lord? or who shall stand in his holy place? He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart; who hath not lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully.” Psalm 24:3-4 KJV. Very often we cherish the clarity and evidence of God’s presence in the life of those who have been called into a deeper relationship with God. But God reminds us that he is seeking for those whose hearts and hand are pure and perfect before him. This is because a call to come up higher is one where God can share his heartbeat with you and give you instructions that are dear to his heart to execute. So, are you desirous of a deeper and better walk with God? Then examine your heart and deeds. Repent and turn back to him if what you find in the examination does not meet the pass mark scoring criteria of holiness and purity. Remember that a closer walk with God leads to generational relevance as seen in the life of Moses, Daniel and others in the Bible.

Prayer: Dear God, please help me to live righteously by the guidance of the Holy Spirit and your word so that my path can shine brighter to your glory 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
