Complete the process to enter into your rest
“And I thought to advertise thee, saying, Buy it before the inhabitants, and before the elders of my people. If thou wilt redeem it, redeem it: but if thou wilt not redeem it, then tell me, that I may know: for there is none to redeem it beside thee; and I am after thee. And he said, I will redeem it. Therefore the kinsman said unto Boaz, Buy it for thee. So he drew off his shoe.” Ruth 4:4, 8 KJV https://www.bible.com/1/rut.4.4,8.kjv
There is still a process to fully take on your inheritance. In the Bible reading today Boaz has gone to a relative who had the first right of refusal for redeeming Naomi’s husband’s property. It is interesting because Ruth on the instruction of Naomi (and by divine arrangement) had offered herself to Boaz. But for the records, Boaz needed to ask the relative first who went on to decline the offer in the presence of many witnesses. It’s almost the equivalent of washing your hands clean. So what is the relevance to the present day Christian? One aspect is in the process with which we enter into the promises of God. There are people who had been called by God but because they did not follow the process of growth to be able to truly take on that assignment, they failed woefully. Imagine how many years it took for Joseph’s dreams to be fulfilled. Even when the Isrealites were going into the promised land, God said that he was going to give them little by little until they increase to take on the land so that wild beasts don’t come into the land (Exodus 23:30). Do you have a divine leading in your life. Trust God to take you through the justification process to the glory (Romans 8:30).
Prayer: Dear God, thank you for your love and call over my life. Please grant me the grace through your Holyspirit to walk with you on the process of justification that I might be able to bask blameless in the glory 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
