Continually Fellowship with God

“Thy mother is like a vine in thy blood, planted by the waters: she was fruitful and full of branches by reason of many waters. And now she is planted in the wilderness, in a dry and thirsty ground. And fire is gone out of a rod of her branches, which hath devoured her fruit, so that she hath no strong rod to be a sceptre to rule. This is a lamentation, and shall be for a lamentation.” Ezekiel 19:10, 13-14 KJV https://bible.com/bible/1/ezk.19.10-14.kjv

Continually Fellowship with God

Remember your source. Often, we get carried away in the equilibrium of a blessed life and start to trust in our structure and stature. We often forget that we are only as strong as the source that enables our growth. This is why the Lord through Moses gave Israel a sound warning not to forget that it’s the Lord that gives power to make wealth when they become comfortable. This is important because all he has to do is to pull the source and it all comes crashing down.  The Bible reading today gives the analogy of a vine that was planted by the rivers of water and became so strong as to be be leader of the trees. The converse picture is also painted of the same vine planted in a dry and thirsty ground in the wilderness in which case the vine becomes dried up and useless. The Christian life is one of daily consecration and fellowship with our source and sustainer. Be careful to always recognize your true source.

Prayer: Dear Lord, thank you for your faithfulness always. Thank you because you are my source and sustainer, the reason for my being. I consecrate and dedicate my self afresh to you. Please lead and guide me in your path of wisdom. Help me not to stray away from the center of your will in Jesus name 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾.
