Continually Walk with God

“When a righteous man turneth away from his righteousness, and committeth iniquity, and dieth in them; for his iniquity that he hath done shall he die. Again, when the wicked man turneth away from his wickedness that he hath committed, and doeth that which is lawful and right, he shall save his soul alive.” Ezekiel 18:26-27 KJV https://bible.com/bible/1/ezk.18.26-27.kjv

Continually Walk with God

The Christian race is not a “one and done” event. It is a continuous walk with God watching and praying. The Bible tells us that on the judgement day, all men will stand before the throne of God to give account of themselves. Every act and thought whether in the open or privately will be brought to book. However, the Bible reading today brings our attention to a vital point.  It is the fact that the one who had always been righteous needs to continue to be careful because according to another verse of the Bible the person who stands must take heed so that he does not fall. If the person who has been righteous all their life decides to turn to sin and dies in the sin then all the prior righteousness counts for nothing. Whereas, grace is available to a sinner who turns to righteous living and dies in it as his soul will live and past iniquities with be wiped off.  This is like the story of the thief on the right hand of God on the cross who obtained mercy at the last minute. The moral here is if you have been righteous then don’t stop and if you are living in sin, today might be your chance for redemption. Choose wisely.

Prayer:  Dear Lord, thank you because you are a righteous and faithful God. Thank you for all that you do for me. Thank you for saving me. Thank you for setting me on the path of life. Father, please grant me the grace to remain focused on you always so that I don’t miss out ultimately in the race of life in Jesus name 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾.
