Created to give God pleasure

“All nations whom thou hast made shall come and worship before thee, O Lord; and shall glorify thy name. For thou art great, and doest wondrous things: thou art God alone. Teach me thy way, O Lord; I will walk in thy truth: unite my heart to fear thy name. I will praise thee, O Lord my God, with all my heart: and I will glorify thy name for evermore.” Psalm 86:9-12 KJV https://bible.com/bible/1/psa.86.9-12.kjv

Created to give God pleasure

The Bible says that God has created all things for his pleasure and so he is worthy to receive glory, honor and power (Rev 4:11). The psalmist also says that praise waits for God in Zion and all flesh comes to him because he answers prayers (Ps 65:1-2). The Bible reading today also confirms that all nations that God has created will come to worship and glorify his name. God created us for his glory and so regardless of what today looks like, the fact that we are alive is a criteria to glorify God. And when we glorify God especially when it does not seem logical to, He arises and does wondrous things like he did in the life of Paul and Silas when they praised him in prison. Are you giving God praise regardless?

Prayer: Dear God, that you for the privilege to be alive. Thank you for being mindful of me. As I praise you and being glory to you, please step into the inconvenient situations of my life and perform your wonders 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
