Danger of leadership absence

“And the man Micah had an house of gods, and made an ephod, and teraphim, and consecrated one of his sons, who became his priest. In those days there was no king in Israel, but every man did that which was right in his own eyes.” Judges 17:5-6 KJV https://www.bible.com/1/jdg.17.5-6.kjv

Danger of leadership absence

The Bible says that the people fall where there is no guidance (Prov 11:14a). It is dangerous to be in a state where there is no leadership or guidance. As read in the Bible reading today, Micah in the land of Ephraim created his own gods from idols and then consecrated his son to be become his own priest. Everyone was doing what they wanted or what they felt was right because there was no king in the land at the time. As much as we like freedom to do as we like, leaders play a very important role to provide guidance especially spiritual leaders. They are set as watchmen to warn and lead the people aright. Romans 13:1-2 says that leaders have been placed in the positions by God and when you rebel against them it as unto God. There is a fast wave of intellectualism taking over where everyone wants to analyze every instruction from God. It may not always make sense because God uses the foolish things of this world to confound the wise. So the question today is: Are you living outside of authority? If so, seek God’s repentance. Prayerfully seek the right leadership and abide therein. The bible says that in the multitude of counsel there is safety.

Prayer: Dear God, help me to recognize those that you have placed in positions of authority over me and help to honor them that I may received the blessings of obedience 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
