When you are dealing with a strong and generational enemy, the only sure deliverance is in the Lord. Some enemies are so strong that long after they are physically gone, the residue of their actions continue to cause problems. In the Bible reading today and in fact in the whole Chapter, David tells of the great deliverances of our God stemming from all the many encounters and challenges that God always came through for him. Saul was such a great enemy to David that even his actions such as the maltreatment of the Gibeonites caused famine for three years during David’s tenure (2 Sam 21:1-2). Sometimes we feel so overwhelmed with challenges that seem to keep rearing their heads even when they appear to be seemingly quenched previously. At those times we need to call out to God in our distress. However one secret that David shared is the fact that God heard him because God delighted in him. The Bible tells us that the eyes of the Lord go to and fro the earth seeking to show himself strong on behalf of those whose heart is perfect towards him (2 Chronicles 16:9). So no matter the type of enemy that you are dealing with, one sure path to victory is to continue to please God despite the issues and He will come through in nick of time. Halleluyah!!!!

Prayer: Dear Lord, thank you for your love. Thank you for the assurance of victory in you. Dear Lord, as I continue to seek after you, please arise and tackle all the challenges ahead of me, even those that seem to be never ending in Jesus name 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
