“And ye shall be left few in number, whereas ye were as the stars of heaven for multitude; because thou wouldest not obey the voice of the LORD thy God. And it shall come to pass, that as the LORD rejoiced over you to do you good, and to multiply you; so the LORD will rejoice over you to destroy you, and to bring you to nought; and ye shall be plucked from off the land whither thou goest to possess it.” Deuteronomy 28:62-63 KJV https://bible.com/bible/1/deu.28.62-63.kjv

Just like a coin has two sides, so also are there two sides to the commandments of God. There are the blessings of obedience and curses/consequences for disobedience. There is no sitting on the fence. The Bible reading today shows a sample of the detailed curses that were highlighted to the Israelites for disobedience to the commandments that they were being given as they entered into the promised. The curses were just as strong as the blessings accruable from obedience. Hence, as we get closer to God and are branded for him, we must be careful to follow God’s commandments to the letter. The Bible tells us that it’s a bad thing when you set your hands on the plow and then look back . Be careful.
Prayer: Dear Lord, thank you because you are the mighty and all-sufficient God. The Alpha and the Omega. Lord I come before you in total surrender. I have no power of my own. Please help me to please you in Jesus name 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾.
