Deliverance through Praises
“By thee have I been holden up from the womb: Thou art he that took me out of my mother's bowels: My praise shall be continually of thee. I am as a wonder unto many; But thou art my strong refuge. My mouth shall shew forth thy righteousness and thy salvation all the day; For I know not the numbers thereof. O God, thou hast taught me from my youth: And hitherto have I declared thy wondrous works. My tongue also shall talk of thy righteousness all the day long: For they are confounded, for they are brought unto shame, that seek my hurt.” Psalm 71:6-7, 15, 17, 24 KJV https://bible.com/bible/1/psa.71.6-24.kjv

A popular song says “when I think about the goodness of Jesus and all that he has done for me, my very souls will shout Halleluyah”. The surest way to build your faith and hope is to take time to reflect on the journey to this point. Often, as humans we are thinking of the next request and often forget to thank for the last ‘insurmountable’ challenge that became a stepping stone. In today’s Bible reading, while the psalmist looks to God for help in his old age, he also takes the time to acknowledge the past miracles and deliverances from God. So, are you in need of God’s help or deliverance in certain situations of your life? Why don’t you start first by acknowledging how far he has brought you, then renewed hope wells up in you and you are thankful too. This opens the door to even more deliverances.
Prayer: Dear Lord, thank you for being my ever present help in ages past. Thank you for always coming through for me. I trust you completely and I know that even in my current situations you are Lord and the glory will be yours alone in Jesus name 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾.
