Divine visitation

“And he lift up his eyes and looked, and, lo, three men stood by him: and when he saw them, he ran to meet them from the tent door, and bowed himself toward the ground, And said, My Lord, if now I have found favour in thy sight, pass not away, I pray thee, from thy servant: And he took butter, and milk, and the calf which he had dressed, and set it before them; and he stood by them under the tree, and they did eat.” Genesis 18:2-3, 8 KJV https://www.bible.com/1/gen.18.2-3,8.kjv

Divine visitation

Do you recognize your divine visitation? The Bible reading today is a very familiar story of how Abraham was visited by the divine visitors and the promise of the arrival of the seed to Abraham’s family was operationalized because Sarah was informed that at the time of life she will carry her own child. What struck me recently though was the fact that all Abraham asked was for the three men to come into his abode so that he could take care of their needs and help them on their journey. He offered a sumptuous meal and also his presence as he stood with them till they finished their meal. Then the by-product of this great service was the blessing on Abraham’s household - an answer to long-standing heart ache and in addition, he got insights into their original assignment against Sodom and Gomorrah and got a chance to stand in the gap for them negotiating with God. All these as a result of service. A lot of individuals have missed their divine visitation due to a lack of discernment. Their visitation comes in an act of service and in the place of service is the blessing. Profound blessing at that. So I pray for you that you will not miss your divine visitation in the name of Jesus. Be sensitive to opportunities of service that are aligned with God’s will and purpose because it may just be the wrapping of the blessing that you so much desire.

Prayer: Dear God, please open my eyes to see the divine visitation that you are sending my way and help me to be to be found faithful in the place of the service that my blessings may abound. 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
