Do it unto God

”Take heed that ye do not your alms before men, to be seen of them: otherwise ye have no reward of your Father which is in heaven. But when thou doest alms, let not thy left hand know what thy right hand doeth: that thine alms may be in secret: and thy Father which seeth in secret himself shall reward thee openly. But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly. But thou, when thou fastest, anoint thine head, and wash thy face; that thou appear not unto men to fast, but unto thy Father which is in secret: and thy Father, which seeth in secret, shall reward thee openly.“ Matthew 6:1, 3-4, 6, 17-18 KJV

Do it unto God

The focus of your worship determines the results of the efforts. Our God is a rewarder of those that diligently seek him but he also is specific about the mode of service. In the Bible reading, there are several examples of God’s expectations for doing things in secret which would mean that the focus in not for human endorsement. Hence, the one to whom you are truly rendering the service to in secret, incubates the seeds and then turns it into a plenteous harvest.  An analogy that comes to mind is when you are trying to plant corn and just drop it on the soil, it may never grow or whither quickly because there isn’t a protection or a conducive environment for it to thrive. But when you put it in the soil, someone coming right behind you may not see the seed but after some time when the right nutrient has flourished the seed, it springs out into a fruitful plant with multiple times results than the initial seed.  So for your seeds of giving, your fellowship of prayers and fast and other kingdom services, ask yourself if you are doing it openly for the endorsement of men or secretly to the one who gives seed to the sower and bread to the eater. The mode is a subtle difference with tremendous outcomes.

Prayer: Dear Lord, thank you because you are the giver of all good things. Thank you for the privilege of kingdom partnership. Please Lord, as I continue to learn at your feet, please teach me the right way to worship and let the seeds receive divine endorsement for multiple increase in Jesus name 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾. ‎
