Draw from the Word
“For they have healed the hurt of the daughter of my people slightly, saying, Peace, peace; when there is no peace. Were they ashamed when they had committed abomination? nay, they were not at all ashamed, neither could they blush: therefore shall they fall among them that fall: in the time of their visitation they shall be cast down, saith the LORD.” Jeremiah 8:11-12 KJV https://bible.com/bible/1/jer.8.11-12.kjv

Watch out for the false reassurances of men. The Bible tells us that the foundations of the Lord stands firm knowing those who are his. And that more importantly, those who profess the name of the Lord should depart from evil. In the Bible reading today, we see that some of the issues of Israel had been compounded in their sinful life by those who were saying to them that there was peace where there is not and so they continue in their abominations, going swiftly towards destruction. The Bible tells us that in the volume of the books is written of us. So we should draw from the manual that he has provided for us and more importantly from the Holy Spirit the living translator so that we are not deceived by the words of praise singers playing the tune towards destruction.
Prayer: Dear Lord, thank you for your faithfulness always. Thank you for always providing a means of escape from the wiles of the devil. Please Lord open my eyes to see and my heart to know when the council of men are contrary to your divine guidance so that I can stay away from them and thrive in the beauty of a life favored by you in Jesus name 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾.
