The Bible tells us that wisdom is the principal thing and so we must seek to get wisdom and understanding. The Bible reading today draws a distinction between a wise person and one that is not. It is in how they respond to correction. The text says that a wise person loves the one who corrects him while the unwise hates such a person. Hence, if we must be wise, we must learn to embrace correction especially those from the Lord expressly or through his servants.  Wisdom has so many benefits which include longevity as seen in the Bible reading today. The wise is preserved from evil and so their days are lengthened. So, do you need a good and long life? Then embrace wisdom which starts with the fear of the Lord.

Prayer: Dear Lord, thank you because you are indeed the only wise God. Lord, I look to you afresh. Please teach me your ways and help me to know you more that I might do your will and be preserved through your divine wisdom in Jesus name 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾.
