Enduring Mercies
“The LORD hath appeared of old unto me, saying, Yea, I have loved thee with an everlasting love: therefore with lovingkindness have I drawn thee. And it shall come to pass, that like as I have watched over them, to pluck up, and to break down, and to throw down, and to destroy, and to afflict; so will I watch over them, to build, and to plant, saith the LORD.” Jeremiah 31:3, 28 KJV https://bible.com/bible/1/jer.31.3-28.kjv
Our God is a God of a second chance. His everlasting mercies prevails over judgement. In the Bible reading today, we see that God has loved us with an everlasting love and so his lovingkindness become strings to pull us back when we err and lose our way out of his love. He says that despite his anger that endures for a moment, his mercies allows us to rebuild that which has been broken down. His mercies are on offer for his name sake. The question is: Will you accept the offer?
Prayer: Dear Lord, thank you for your abundant love and kindness. Thank you for your mercies always. Please lord, in your mercy save me, cleanse me and restore me for your name sake in Jesus name 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾.
