Our God is sovereign and all merciful, showing mercy unto whom he pleases. However, more often than not, the blessings of the Lord have certain conditions which are typically hinged on a continued relationship between God the giver and the recipient. In the Bible reading today, at the commissioning of the temple, Solomon was praying to God and reminding him of his promise to give the lineage of David the throne of Israel. He also mentioned God’s conditions around the children walking in the law of God. We know that not too long after, the Kingdom of Israel was split for under the lineage and the bulk of it taken away.  Sometimes, as christians we see so many blessings that are accruable to us but somehow struggle with its manifestation. It’s always a good time to look inwards to be sure that the relational, sacrificial and obedience metrics are met. As you examine yourself today against the promises of God, take out the time to check that you are in full compliance with his expectations. If that is the case, trust him because it shall come to pass and will not tarry. Remember God’s sense of timing and ours are not always aligned. He is sure to come through when it is most important in the grand scheme of things because He indeed knows the end from the beginning and sees way beyond our human minds can ever comprehend.

Prayer: Dear Lord, thank you for your faithfulness always. Thank you for your promises that are Yes and Amen. Please Lord, help me through the prompting of the Holy Spirit to abide by your expectations so that I can live in the manifestation of the fullness of your blessings always in Jesus name 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾.
