Fear is foe
“Then said Eliakim and Shebna and Joah unto Rabshakeh, Speak, I pray thee, unto thy servants in the Syrian language; for we understand it: and speak not to us in the Jews' language, in the ears of the people that are on the wall. But Rabshakeh said, Hath my master sent me to thy master and to thee to speak these words? hath he not sent me to the men that sit upon the wall, that they may eat their own dung, and drink their own piss with you?” Isaiah 36:11-12 KJV https://bible.com/bible/1/isa.36.11-12.kjv

The enemy specializes in amplifying fear in the hearts of the people. The Bible tells that fear has torment. When you are fearful, you make choices that makes you even more vulnerable. Hence, the devil likes to capitalize on it. In today’s Bible reading, the king of Assyria sent him emissaries to king Hezekiah of Judah with a condescending message about how God could not save them from his hands. While the message was initially delivered to the representatives of the king who pleaded that they give the message in a language that the people of Judah could not understand, instead the emissaries increased their voices in the hope that they would instill fear on the heart of the entire nation so that they would abandon their post or lose faith in God’s ability to save them under the instructions of their king. The devil still tries to do that today by amplifying fear to make us lose our peace. However, the God of all peace promises us a peace that passes all understanding for those who trust him completely. Do you trust God? Then take your fears to Calvary and trade if for his peace. Our God is forever faithful.
Prayer: Dear Lord, thank you for your faithfulness always. Thank you for your peace that conquers fear. Please Lord, I lay all my hearts troubles at your feet afresh. I trade them for your peace and assurance today in Jesus name 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾.
