The Bible tells us that except the Lord builds a city, the builders do it in vain and except the Lord watches over a city, the watchmen waste their time. Often ,we are distracted and discouraged by the many things that we want to handle whereas if we could only trust God and align with his expectations, those things will be a walk in the park. In the Bible reading today, we are told that God sets apart the godly and hears when they call. He put joy in their hearts that are not anchored to the physical things around them. Most importantly, the Lord takes charge of their safety hence they can lay down and sleep with no worries and fears.  So what’s it going to be? You continue to wear yourself out with worry over the things that you don’t control? Or align with God’s expectations of living a life of holiness and obedience and turn over all your worries to the one who is able to handle effortlessly? Choose wisely.

Prayer: Dear God, thank you for your faithfulness and your kindness. Lord, I turn over all the affairs of my life to you. Please settle them and grant me peace on every side in Jesus name 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾.
