Flee from Sin
“For they have taken of their daughters for themselves, and for their sons: so that the holy seed have mingled themselves with the people of those lands: yea, the hand of the princes and rulers hath been chief in this trespass. And when I heard this thing, I rent my garment and my mantle, and plucked off the hair of my head and of my beard, and sat down astonied.” Ezra 9:2-3 KJV https://bible.com/bible/1/ezr.9.2-3.kjv

The Bible says that if God’s people who are called by his name will humble themselves and pray and turn from their wicked ways, that He’ll be gracious enough to heal their land. The question today is: What is your response when your wrong doings and those around you are identified? Do you humble yourself in repentance or try to rationalize or explain it away? In the Bible reading today, it had come to the notice of Ezra that the children of Israel (the remnants) were once again contaminating themselves by mingling with the seeds of the land. He was so somber and tore his clothes in mourning before approaching God to plead their case. He was well aware of the consequences of such behaviors having only just returned from captivity. So, first of all, are you aware of the consequences of the behaviors going on around you. In the volumes of the books, the word of God, is written of you and I. Invest in knowing what God says about you. Also, do not become complacent in the face of sin. We are called to stand in the gap for our generation. Embrace your kingdom and assignment and hopefully help save our generation from impending judgement.
Prayer: Dear Lord, thank you because you are indeed plenteous in mercies. Lord, I come before you today to seek for mercies of behalf of myself and my generation. Help me Lord, not to fail in my assignment as a kingdom watchman in Jesus name 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾.
