“Therefore it shall be when ye be gone over Jordan, that ye shall set up these stones, which I command you this day, in mount Ebal, and thou shalt plaister them with plaister. And there shalt thou build an altar unto the LORD thy God, an altar of stones: thou shalt not lift up any iron tool upon them. Thou shalt build the altar of the LORD thy God of whole stones: and thou shalt offer burnt offerings thereon unto the LORD thy God:” Deuteronomy 27:4-6 KJV https://bible.com/bible/1/deu.27.4-6.kjv

God first!! God always!! The Bible tells us to trust in the Lord with all our hearts and not to lean on our own understanding. The Bible also reminds us that the book of the law should not depart out of our mouths because when we meditate therein and do what we are commanded, we have good success. In today’s Bible reading, the Israelites were being instructed to ensure that once they crossed into the promised land, they were to set up an altar with stones that carried the commandments and instructions that they had received. This was because they needed a constant reminder of the statutes so that they could abide by the terms of the commandments as a recipe for sustained prosperity. Are you prioritizing God? Are you keeping the terms of the convenant? If not repent, and refocus so that you can enjoy the fullness of a guided life.
Prayer: Dear Lord, thank you because you are God all by yourself. Thank you because the cattle on the thousand hills belong to you. Please Lord help to abide in your word and in your ways. Let my life be blessed always in Jesus name 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾.
