Forget not the Lord

“And I looked, and rose up, and said unto the nobles, and to the rulers, and to the rest of the people, Be not ye afraid of them: remember the Lord, which is great and terrible, and fight for your brethren, your sons, and your daughters, your wives, and your houses.” Nehemiah 4:14 KJV https://bible.com/bible/1/neh.4.14.kjv

Forget not the Lord

Remember the Lord. In the Bible reading today, the adversaries of the rebuilding of Jerusalem, Sanballat and his crew, were planning to attack the Israelites at the worksite hoping to halt the progress. However, Nehemiah and the rest of the builders geared up prepared for a fight while continuing to work. The encouragement that they received is very instructional and certainly relevant in today’s parlance. “Remember the Lord”. This means different things for different applications.  Remember his past deliverances when faced with new fears. Remember his provision in the past when now in abundance. Remember him as the author and finisher of your faith. Remember him as the one who gives you power to make wealth. Remember, remember and yet remember in the midst of all the distractions around, looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of your faith. Are you remembering?

Prayer: Dear Lord, thank you for your faithfulness always. Thank you for past and present deliverances. Thank you for being an ever present hep in time of needs. I look to you afresh remembering all the victories from the past, please come through again for me and confound my enemies with the uncommon victory delivered by you in Jesus name 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾.
