*Are you a doer?* The analogy in today’s text is of one who looks into the mirror and after leaving the mirror forgets what he looks like, if you don’t do the things you learn from the word of God. Sometimes the reason we forget to touch up our faces right after looking into the mirror is that we think of how far the items we need to use are and then say I will get to it soon and in this era of virtual meetings, you turn on your video for a meeting hours later and then realize that you did not touch up the face after all or that in the case of women that your hairnet is still on or you forgot to use your wig..... Often the reason we do not do the word after getting excited is that we analyze it so much and feel that it’s such hard work or a daunting task. Think back at some task that you dreaded in the past either because they had terminologies that were unfamiliar or it was just an uncharted course for you. Then you put in the first steps and after you finally completed the task you realized “it wasn’t so bad after all”. But you had to take the first step. What have you learnt in the word that you would love to start but feel unqualified for? Why don’t you ask the Holy Spirit for help and then START albeit with baby step... You will find out soon enough that you are thriving in it... Be a doer!!!
