The gift of foreknowledge…..: One of the benefits of advance knowledge is that while others are running around in a storm, the person with the knowledge is prepared in advance and as such there is peace and the ability to ride out the storm is increased. In today’s Bible reading, God had been gracious enough to Pharaoh to show him albeit in analogies what was to befall the Land of Egypt. Imagine if he did not have the dream and the seven years of plenty had come, they would have lived so lavishly with a lot of waste thinking that the supply could never possibly run out. So as a result of the foreknowledge there was discipline in the midst of the abundance to shore up for the famine. There are so many analogies today in nations and individuals of pleasant times of wastage which was followed by challenges. It is important that as individuals we are connected to God consistently through the indwelling of the Holy Spirit and that we remain sensitive enough to discern the instructions to us from God and more importantly to carry them out. Imagine what would have happened if Pharaoh did not accept the counsel of Joseph. Sometimes it may not be famine, it may even be God preparing you to be strategic for a season of abundance, a special position or an uncommon rain. We need to consistently ask God for that grace to know what is coming so that we can rest assured knowing that God has it covered. Also so that we can prepare accordingly where it is required.

Prayer: Dear God, please open my eyes to see that which you are showing me concerning my future and please give me the grace to follow instructions that will catapult me into a place of rest in Jesus name 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
