Give God glory and strength

“Give unto the Lord, O ye kindreds of the people, give unto the Lord glory and strength. Give unto the Lord the glory due unto his name: bring an offering, and come into his courts. O worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness: fear before him, all the earth.” Psalm 96:7-9 KJV https://bible.com/bible/1/psa.96.7-9.kjv

Give God glory and strength

When you have someone who has ‘everything’, you often ask what you can give to such a one. When we think about our God who made Heaven and earth and is still mindful of you and I, we say ‘What can I give unto the Lord?’. The Psalmists helps us out in today’s Bible reading. We are encouraged to give God glory and strength. Remember, the whole essence of your creation is to give glory back to God in our words and action. While we are asked to also bring an offering, there is emphasis on the fellowship in his courts. Lastly we are to fear him but also worship him in holiness and purity that is a beauty to behold. So, when you think about all that God has done for you and you just want to offer something back, take a cue from the Psalmist and bring to God an acceptable offering that makes the Lord smile because it’s what he wants from us.

Prayer: Dear Lord, please let the words of my mouth and the meditations of my heart be acceptable to you. Give me the grace to continually bring you a beautiful offering of holiness and righteousness. 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
