A popular native song says that he who knows how to think will know how to praise. It is so easy to get carried away by our challenges or even accomplishments or the distractions of life. However, when we take a step back to access our situations and where we have been and the possibilities of things that could have happened, then our eyes are open to see the many victories that God grants to us. In the Bible reading today, God had commanded Israel to go fight the Midianites to take revenge. When they returned with the spoils of war, God asked Moses to take a levy from what was brought back to give to the Levites after the goodies had been split between those who went for war and the rest of the people.  Yet the captains of those that went to war took stock and realized that none was missing amongst them and so they still brought out a willing heart offering to God. They were not complaining about how much they had to share of the goods that they fought hard for. They knew with certainty that God had indeed fought the battles for them so they were willing to give more to God because everything was really his from the get go. Why don’t you take stock of your life and the journey to date. Thank God for the many deliverances. Thank God for life and the hope of a future. A thinking person realizes all that he should be thankful for. Appreciate God today.

Prayer: Dear Lord, thank you for your faithfulness and your love. Thank you for watching over me constantly. Thank you for daily loading me with your benefits. As I go forth today, please bring to my remembrance the many miracles you have done and help me to please you with the sacrifice of my praise 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
