God can be trusted
”And the angel of God spake unto me in a dream, saying, Jacob: And I said, Here am I. And he said, Lift up now thine eyes, and see, all the rams which leap upon the cattle are ringstraked, speckled, and grisled: for I have seen all that Laban doeth unto thee. I am the God of Beth-el, where thou anointedst the pillar, and where thou vowedst a vow unto me: now arise, get thee out from this land, and return unto the land of thy kindred.“ Genesis 31:11-13 KJV https://bible.com/bible/1/gen.31.11-13.kjv

God keeps to his end of the covenant. He keeps his promise. He is dependable and reliable. In the Bible reading today, when Jacob started to feel the heat with his father-in-law and brothers-in-law from the visible effect of God’s blessings on his cattle, he knew it was time to leave. God appeared to him to say it was ok to go and reminded him that he was the God of the encounter at Bethel when he was fleeing. He had made a vow back then that if God kept him and blessed him and he was able to return that he would give God a tenth of his increase. God had done his part and it was time for a return to the place of encounter. How many of us remember the promises that we made to God at the times of desperation? God keeps his part. Are you ready to keep yours? Recall that he who is found faithful in little will be made Lord of all. Some people have become permanent residents of the little blessings because they have proved to be unfaithful with their commitments to God.
Prayer: Dear Lord, thank you because you are covenant-keeping God, the dependable and reliable father. Please Lord, help me Lord to recognize your mighty hands at work in the matters of my life. Let me experience peace that comes from the knowledge that you are working it all out in my favor in Jesus name. Teach me Lord to return to my mountains of encounter 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾.
