God grants us victory, but in his own ways. The Bible tells us that his ways are not our ways. Hence, we must be careful about profiling the result of God’s interventions by our human logic. When David killed Goliath, God granted precision to the smooth stone to locate the spot in Goliath’s head that would deal the deadly blow. In today’s Bible reading, we see God grant victory to Israel over the formidable Jericho. God chose to tackle the very foundation of their defense, their strong wall.  Yet, God did it in an unusual way which required trust and obedience from Israel for the fulfillment to come. Imagine walking around a city’s wall once a day for six days before the final day’s victory. Even on the final day, they walked around the wall six times prior before the seventh one where they shouted unto God and the walls came down. You don’t have to see the cracks ahead of the final reveal with your human eyes. Just trust the one who has instructed you and be sure that in the most unlikely circumstances, he will come through for you. He is an intentional God. 

Prayer: Dear Lord, thank you because you are intentional. Thank you because you hold times and seasons in your hands. I come before you afresh in total surrender. Lord please lead me as the captain of my life and give me the grace to follow in complete obedience into my victory in you in Jesus name 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾. ‎
