God cannot be decieved
“But if any man hate his neighbour, and lie in wait for him, and rise up against him, and smite him mortally that he die, and fleeth into one of these cities: then the elders of his city shall send and fetch him thence, and deliver him into the hand of the avenger of blood, that he may die. Thine eye shall not pity him, but thou shalt put away the guilt of innocent blood from Israel, that it may go well with thee.” Deuteronomy 19:11-13 KJV https://bible.com/bible/1/deu.19.11-13.kjv

The Bible tells us in the book of Proverbs that though hands join in hands, the wicked will not go unpunished. The Bible reading today describes an individual who may want to avoid judgement for willful murder by running into the refuge cities that the Israelites were commanded to create for unintentional offenders. The elders were told to fetch him out and not pity him but deliver him to the avengers. The Bible tells us also that God is the discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. Hence while it may even be possible to fool man, God cannot be fooled. Hence,it is important that we instead focus on living a life of righteousness rather than looking to pervert justice or play on the intelligence of others because the one who see it all is the overall judge and he cannot be deceived. When he looks at your heart today, what will he see?
Prayer: Dear Lord, thank you because you are the all-knowing and all-sufficient God. I come before you in total surrender yielding my life and all to you. Please guide my heart, purify my thoughts, transform me to be more like you, so that I can please you always in Jesus name 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾.
