God cares about the details

“According to all that I shew thee, after the pattern of the tabernacle, and the pattern of all the instruments thereof, even so shall ye make it. And they shall make an ark of shittim wood: two cubits and a half shall be the length thereof, and a cubit and a half the breadth thereof, and a cubit and a half the height thereof…..And look that thou make them after their pattern, which was shewed thee in the mount.” Exodus 25:9-10, 40 KJV https://bible.com/bible/1/exo.25.9-40.kjv

God cares about the details

Our God pays attention to details. The Bible reminds us that the cattle on the thousand hills are His and that he knows the number of hair on our heads. He is indeed mindful of the smallest details of our lives. In the same vein, his instructions to us are very precise, bound by time and specifics. In the Bible reading today, He gave a detailed description to Moses of how the ark was to be built. He commenced the instruction by telling Moses to pay attention to all the details and execute as told. Upon completing the details he reminded again that all instructions must be followed to the letter. The details of our journey in life has been planned to the smallest details by God even while we were yet in our mother’s womb (Jer 1:5). However we can elongate those journeys or even terminate it due to disobedience as exemplified by the Isrealites whose journey of a few days became years and for which the erring generation perished in the wilderness. The promise of getting the Isrealites to the promised land was fulfilled but they weren’t a part of it, in fact painfully the one who led them to the brink of the promise did not go in because of a seeming ‘small’ act of disobedience in which he hit the rock as before rather than speaking to it (Deut 1:37, Exodus 20:12).

Prayer: Dear Lord, thank you for being mindful of every detail of my life. Please give me the grace for complete obedience so that I can partner with you on my journey to the expected end - a hope and future 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
