The psalmist in today’s reading acknowledges that there are challenges that come to the righteous. Righteous living means that you may be in the way of those who want to commit atrocities and they certainly would not take that lightly. So living righteously does not eliminate challenges. However it comes with an assurance that no matter what the challenge looks like, your ally whose stand you have taken, the Almighty God will always come through for you. He delivers the righteous from all their fears. When they shift their gaze from the storms and challenges around them to the all-sufficient one, there is a peace that stems from within and their faces are brightened because there is an assurance that there will be no shame. It does not matter what you are going through, if you live right and fear God and fellowship with him, He will come through for you. Halleluyah!!!
