God fights for his own

“That this shall be no grief unto thee, nor offence of heart unto my Lord, either that thou hast shed blood causeless, or that my Lord hath avenged himself: but when the Lord shall have dealt well with my Lord, then remember thine handmaid. And when David heard that Nabal was dead, he said, Blessed be the Lord, that hath pleaded the cause of my reproach from the hand of Nabal, and hath kept his servant from evil: for the Lord hath returned the wickedness of Nabal upon his own head. And David sent and communed with Abigail, to take her to him to wife.” 1 Samuel 25:31, 39 KJV

God fights for his own

The Lord says as recorded in the Bible that he will fight for his own and they would hold their peace. How sweet it is for someone and in this case the Master warrior on the universe to fight your cause. In the Bible verse today, despite being anointed as King, David had suffered so much reproach that his request for food from Nabal whom he had been gracious to his servants had now become an occasion for insults. David was heading out to prove to him who he truly was by wiping out the whole family of Nabal. But God intervened and saved him from this act which could potentially hang over his head if he eventually became King. God sent a soothing voice to him and he stayed action. However, God still disciplined the one who dared to insult the anointed of God and David was so glad that he had not gone out to avenge himself. As anointed children of God who are carriers of great destinies, some situations or individuals may ‘insult’ us. Then we feel the urge to defend ourselves or call down fire and brimstone. In many of those cases, all we need is to table the matter before the owner of the anointing and message that we carry. Then stand back and let him do his thing. He is still in the business of settling scores in favor of his anointed. Are you his ally? Can you rest assured that he will fight for you because you are at the center of his will?

Prayer: Dear God, please help me. Arise on my behalf and show the world that you are indeed my God and you are Lord in my life circumstances 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
