The Bible tells us in Habakkuk 2:3 that the vision is for an appointed time and that though it appears to delay we should wait for it as it will come to pass in the appointed time certainly. In the Bible reading today, after king Ahaziah had been killed by association with the king of Isreal, his mother wanted to reign in the land and so decided to kill all that were linked to the throne. But she missed one. By divine arrangement, a child was preserved and hidden for six years by his aunt. While it may look like being alive was enough gain, in the appointed time at the age of seven, the child became king.  And though he was a child, having been preserved under the tutelage of the Lord, he immediately implemented God’s plans and destroyed the altars of Baal that the previous kings did not pull down. If you have a unique assignment, the Lord will preserve such a person and even though it might take longer years like the case of David who had so many wilderness experiences and death scares after he had been anointed as king, IT WILL SURELY COME TO PASS to the glory of God alone.

Prayer: Dear Lord, thank you for your promises over my life. Thank you for your divine assignments. Please grant me the grace to be patient in my journey to the destination and to learn the key lessons that would ensure the full manifestation of your glory at the fulfillment of the promise in Jesus name 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
