God is never late
”And when Abram was ninety years old and nine, the LORD appeared to Abram, and said unto him, I am the Almighty God; walk before me, and be thou perfect. And I will make my covenant between me and thee, and will multiply thee exceedingly. Neither shall thy name any more be called Abram, but thy name shall be Abraham; for a father of many nations have I made thee. But my covenant will I establish with Isaac, which Sarah shall bear unto thee at this set time in the next year. And Abraham was ninety years old and nine, when he was circumcised in the flesh of his foreskin.“ Genesis 17:1-2, 5, 21, 24 KJV https://bible.com/bible/1/gen.17.1-24.kjv

It is never too late with God. God can reestablish and/or manifest new covenants with us his creation at anytime. In today’s Bible reading, Abraham was already 90 years old when God had a conversation with him about being perfect before God so that God can make his convenant with him. God changed his name and that of his wife Sarah as a seal of what was going to happen. Imagine when he said to people that his name was Abraham and no more Abram. Some people would probably laugh behind his back because they can’t imagine how he who barely had the one child from his wife’s maid would be a father of nations or the old Sarah who had no child at all would be a mother of nations. God took the promise from a private conversation to a public show of faith. Furthermore, God specified the recipient of the generational covenant as Isaac. However, we must not miss the fact that God requested evidence of the covenant from Abraham. He and every male child in his household were to be circumcised. It was a painful process especially at that age but it was worth the price of a generational covenant that we all claim today. What is God asking you to give up as a sign of commitment to him? Be careful of holding back that which may be the seal of immeasurable blessings and lifelong covenants of breakthrough.
Prayer: Dear Lord, thank you because you are indeed an intentional God. Thank you because you are faithful to your words and promises. Dear Lord, please give me the grace to yield completely to you so that you can fulfill you promises to me and my generations yet unborn in Jesus name. Let your promises in my life be evident to all in Jesus name 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾.
