God is waiting

“Howbeit I sent unto you all my servants the prophets, rising early and sending them, saying, Oh, do not this abominable thing that I hate. But they hearkened not, nor inclined their ear to turn from their wickedness, to burn no incense unto other gods.” Jeremiah 44:4-5 KJV https://bible.com/bible/1/jer.44.4-5.kjv

God is waiting

A unique character of God is his long suffering towards his beloved children. God is more pleased with an erring child that returns home than to have an offending child be consumed. However, if despite several warnings, his child remains resolute in sin and disobedience, he comes down with judgement. This was the case of the Israelites in the book of Jeremiah.  God acknowledged that he hath sent so many prophets to them with warnings and yet they continued stubbornly in their ways. So, God was going to utterly deal with them and even by extension the Egyptians who the remnants had run to for refuge. It is a fearful thing to be the recipient of God’s anger. Don’t take his grace and long suffering for granted. It could be deadly.  Evaluate your life and retrace your steps away from every indulgence in sin back into the center of God’s will. He is waiting.

Prayer: Dear Lord, thank you for love towards us and your patience. Please Lord, we receive your warnings to us as a people and as individuals and we say Please Lord have mercy. Let your mercy prevail over judgement in our land, home and lives in Jesus name 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾.
