God watches over His Word

”And afterward Moses and Aaron went in, and told Pharaoh, Thus saith the LORD God of Israel, Let my people go, that they may hold a feast unto me in the wilderness. And Pharaoh said, Who is the LORD, that I should obey his voice to let Israel go? I know not the LORD, neither will I let Israel go.“ Exodus 5:1-2 KJV https://bible.com/bible/1/exo.5.1-2.kjv

God watches over His Word

When God says it, it comes to pass. It does not matter what the barriers are in the interim God always watches over his words to fulfill it. However his ways are not our ways and so we must learn to trust him completely. It is amazing to see that the God who eventually dealt with the Egyptians in a show of his power started out the mission with an ask. In the Bible reading today, at the word of the Lord, Moses and Aaron stood before Pharaoh to ask for some days for the Israelites to go and worship God.  Pharaoh’s answer was one that you would expect from someone who was considered a sovereign ruler. Who is your God and why should I listen to him? He had opened the door to a revelation of who God was. It was not only for Egypt but so that the news of all that happened may spread aboard ahead of the other enemies they would encounter. However the immediate result was more hardship for the Israelites so much so that Moses questioned why he was sent on this assignment even though God told him from the very beginning that he will harden Pharaoh’s heart.  The story of God’s glory that is being told by your life may not be obvious in the beginning but rest assured that even you would be marveled by the result just like the morning when the Israelites looked back at their oppressors now at the mercy of the Red Sea as they perished. God comes through. Trust him and walk with him.

Prayer: Dear Lord, thank you because you are the mighty God who rules in the affairs of men. I trust you Lord, please watch over your promises to fulfillment in Jesus name 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾. ‎
