The Bible tells us that "surely they would gather but not by the Lord." We are assured though that those who gather against us will fall for our sake. The psalmist also confirms this when he asks “Why do the heathens rage and the people imagine a vain thing?” He talks about the the kings of the earth gathering against God’s anointed. Again, he confirms that the Most High will laugh and have them in derision. This is an important reminder that the most critical relationship to be vested in is with the Lord Almighty.  In today’s Bible reading, we see that the kings on the other side of Jordan, having seen what befell Jericho and Ai and the kings that were on the preceding side of Jordan, gathered together to fight Israel. We know that Israel eventually settled fully into the promised land. So, it did not matter whether the nations came individually or separately, because the victory was already sure. Are the clouds gathering around you? Do you see an unholy collaboration against you? Check first that you are in right standing with your ally? If yes, then rest assured that the battle and war are already won.  God will fight the battle and handover victory to you.  Just believe and you will see.

Prayer: Dear Lord, thank you because you are the mighty one in battle. Thank you because you are the Lord who rules and reigns over all, even the forces of nature. Lord, I renew my commitment to a life of worship and fellowship with you. Please fight my battles to the glory of your name in Jesus name 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾. ‎
